The star shaft was also developed in-house at W-E-R-T and is Made in Germany. It replaces the conventional paddle shaft of well-known machine manufacturers. The reason is that a paddle shaft can only be repaired with extremely high effort. The flanks of the paddles work like scissors. It is almost impossible to weld them back on so that they function properly again. The star shaft, on the other hand, has blocks at the tips. When these are worn, they are either re-welded or the block is replaced. In addition, the star shaft offers a very long service life while producing a smaller end product and lower machine consumption.
